Description

This journal presented here is a vintage copy of the famous periodical "Lisette," intended for young girls. It is issue number 45, dated Sunday, November 6, 1932, as indicated by the header visible on the cover. This magazine consists of 16 pages (information printed in the upper left), and the price displayed at the time was 25 centimes. The mention "Douzième année (591e livraison)" (Twelfth year (591st delivery)) confirms the age and regular publication of this periodical in the French youth press of the early 20th century.

The cover, printed in color, features a large illustration titled "La métamorphose d'Olivine" (Olivine's Metamorphosis). It shows two female characters in traditional clothing, one sitting on a tree stump with a basket in her hand, the other standing, wearing a long dress and holding a cane, all in a rural setting dotted with mushrooms. The graphic style, typical of the 1930s, evokes the magical and narrative universe characteristic of children's literature of that era. The illustrator's name "Jean" appears in the lower left of the image.

The journal's header is adorned with the "Lisette" logo in white cursive letters on a blue background, framed by stylized floral motifs (roses and leaves), enhancing the decorative and attractive appearance for its young female audience. The mention "Journal des fillettes" (Girls' Journal) appears below the main title, specifying the editorial target of the periodical. Publication information ("Parait : Chaque Semaine" - Published: Every Week) and the office address ("1, rue Gazan, Paris (XIVe)") are also visible.

The cover shows signs of wear consistent with the object's age: yellowing of the paper, scattered stains, handling marks on the edges, and slight creases, particularly on the upper left corner. No major missing parts are visible on the front. The printing remains clearly legible, and the illustration colors are still vibrant despite a natural patina.
