Description

This period newspaper is an original copy of "Lisette," a weekly magazine for young girls, dated Sunday, November 27, 1932. The cover, clearly visible in the photo, features a polychrome illustration typical of the 1930s, signed "Jean," depicting the dynamic scene of a balloon bursting among several characters in period clothing. The front page explicitly mentions "Journal des fillettes" (Girls' Newspaper), confirming the title's historical editorial target audience.

In the upper left, the header indicates "N° 48 – Twelfth year (594th issue)," attesting to regular publication and a certain age. The cover also announces "16 Pages," "Price: 25 Centimes," and weekly publication. The office address, "1, rue Gazan, Paris (14e)," appears below the title, adding an extra touch of authenticity.

The color palette used – deep blue for the logo, yellow for the price box, sepia and pastel tones for the illustration – is characteristic of 1930s printed editions. The paper shows a homogeneous patina, typical of old publications, with visible signs of aging at the edges and a slight brown discoloration, undoubtedly due to time.

The cover page shows no major tears or apparent missing parts, although small signs of wear are visible on the top edge and the corners are slightly creased – common elements on this type of old press. The printing of the text and drawings remains clear and legible, making it an ideal item for viewing or display in a showcase.

The inscription "Un ballon qui éclate" (A balloon that bursts) appears at the bottom of the page, announcing the content of the illustrated story inside. No other content is visible on the single presented side. This issue is an authentic testament to French youth press from the early 20th century.
