Description

This issue of the old newspaper "Lisette" is dated Sunday, November 13, 1932. It is No. 46 of the twelfth year (592nd issue), as indicated at the top of the cover. This weekly magazine, subtitled "Journal des fillettes" (Girls' Newspaper), is an illustrated youth publication, very representative of French children's press from the early 20th century.

The cover, typical of the 1930s, is printed in color with an illustration of a train station scene: several characters wearing long coats, hats, and period accessories can be seen, including two young girls embracing in the foreground. The image is titled "SANS NOM (Suite)" (Untitled (Continued)), indicating the continuation of a serialized story. The newspaper's header is adorned with the name "Lisette" in white cursive letters on a blue background, framed by two stylized roses, and highlights the "16 pages" format as well as the original price: 25 centimes.

The newspaper shows a characteristic patina of old paper, with a cream tint and slightly browned edges. There are slight signs of wear on the spine and corners, as well as a small brown stain on the bottom of the cover. The colors of the illustration are still very legible, with a palette dominated by green, brick red, and beige and black tones. The old typographic printing and the Art Deco graphics of the layout reflect the editorial style of the era.

The mention "Parait : Chaque Semaine" (Appears: Every Week) and the address of the offices in Paris (4, rue Gazan, Paris XIVe) also appear on the first page, providing additional clues about the authenticity and editorial origin of this youth periodical.

The back and inside of the newspaper are not visible in the photo; only the front cover is described here.
