Description

This vintage magazine is a copy of the famous children's periodical "Lisette", published for young girls in the first half of the 20th century. The visible cover features a colorful illustration typical of the 1930s, depicting a young girl in a red and white striped dress, wearing a hat, holding a sheep on a forest path, while an old automobile appears in the background. The image is framed by a black border, with the title of the story "Le terrible petit Frisotin" (The Terrible Little Frisotin) inscribed at the bottom of the page.

At the top of the page, the mention "Treizième année (600e livrasion)" (Thirteenth year (600th delivery)) and the precise date "Dimanche 8 Janvier 1933" (Sunday, January 8, 1933) allow this copy to be accurately placed in the history of French children's press. Also visible are the issue number ("N°2"), the price ("25 centimes"), the number of pages ("16 Pages") and the slogan "Parait : Chaque Semaine" (Published: Every Week).

The entire cover shows a homogeneous patina and a sepia tint typical of old newspaper, with visible signs of wear on the edges, including dog-eared corners and slight discoloration due to age.

The typography and cover design are characteristic of comic strips and illustrated children's literature from the interwar period. The colors (yellow, blue, green, red) are still very present despite the paper's alteration. No internal content is visible in this image, but the mention "Voir histoire page 16" (See story page 16) indicates the presence of an illustrated story inside.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. The cover shows a used patina, crumpled edges, some stains, and dog-eared corners, visible in the photo. The colors remain legible and the overall condition is consistent for a newspaper from 1933.
