Description

Old issue of the illustrated magazine "Lisette," dated Sunday, February 25, 1934, visible on the cover. This is issue number 8 of the fourteenth year, clearly indicated at the top left ("N° 8. — Fourteenth year (659th issue)"). This periodical was intended for young girls, as stated by the mention "Journal des fillettes" (Girls' Magazine) below the title.

The cover, well-preserved for its age, features a color illustration occupying the lower half of the page, depicting a group of young characters, boys and girls, observing a scene from a distance in a rural landscape. The main colors are green, ochre, red, beige, and blue, typical of the aesthetic of the 1930s. The title of the main story visible at the bottom of the cover is "Poucette et ses sœurs (Suite)" (Thumbelina and her sisters (Continued)).

At the top right, the original price is still indicated: "PRIX: 25 Centimes" (PRICE: 25 Centimes). The number of pages is clearly displayed in a yellow box: "16 Pages." The address of the editorial office is located below the title: "1, rue Gazan, PARIS (14e)."

The paper shows a uniform patina, with noticeable yellowing, typical of paper publications from this era. The corners are slightly blunted, and the right edge shows small irregularities, without any major tears visible on this side. The print remains clear, both for the text and the illustration, despite some signs of oxidation at the top right.

The typography of the title "Lisette" in blue on a cream background, underlined by two stylized roses, reinforces the vintage and feminine character of this youth magazine. The magazine is presented flat, front face visible, with no indication of the condition of the interior pages.
