Description

This satirical press issue corresponds to Charlie Hebdo newspaper, No. 285, dated Thursday, April 29, 1976, as indicated at the top of the front page. It is a period copy, recognizable by its large format typical of the 1970s and its retro visual presentation, with limited color printing on newsprint.

The cover is marked by the title "CHARLIE HEBDO" in black capital letters, very visible at the top of the page. The front page features a humorous drawing signed by Reiser, an emblematic figure of the newspaper, with a satirical illustration in purple, pink, and gray tones, depicting two caricatured characters. The character on the right pulls on the underwear of the character on the left, in a graphic style immediately recognizable from the era.

The main headline of this issue, printed in large pink letters, announces: "JUDICIAL ERRORS FASCINATE THE FRENCH." A speech bubble completes the scene: "YOU'RE LESS THIN THAN ROLAND AGRET." The whole illustrates the irreverent and engaged tone of the newspaper, emblematic of French satirical press of the 70s.

The newspaper shows a slight patina of use visible in the photo, notably a crumpled upper right corner and some wear marks on the edges, typical signs of an old copy preserved for several decades. The colors of the cover remain well contrasted and the inscriptions perfectly legible.

The entire visible front face offers a very sought-after retro aesthetic for this type of press, with a layout characteristic of the era: large title, central drawing, and no graphic overload.
