Description

This issue of the "Lisette" newspaper, shown in the photo, is dated Sunday, October 14, 1934. It is issue number 41 of the fourteenth year, as indicated at the top left of the cover. This youth periodical, subtitled "Journal des fillettes" (Girls' Newspaper), comes in the form of a 16-page booklet, priced at 25 centimes. The cover is illustrated in color, with an interior scene depicting four characters (one man, two women, one young girl), in a graphic style typical of the 1930s. The title of the main story, "L’enfant du naufrage (suite)" (The Shipwreck Child - continued), appears at the bottom of the page. The layout highlights the "Lisette" logo in blue and white, framed by stylized floral motifs.

The cover layout combines sober typographical elements with colorful inserts (yellow, green, blue). The edges of the cover show a patinated appearance, with visible traces of browning, particularly in the upper corners, as well as some small stains and irregularities on the right edge, indicating the item's age. The corners are slightly blunted, and moderate wear is visible on the vertical right edge.

The overall visual remains highly legible, despite the wear of time. The details of the illustrated scene remain clear, and the colors, though slightly faded, retain their contrast. Condition

This newspaper is used and sold as is. General yellowing of the paper, foxing, and visible signs of wear on the cover (see photo). The corners and edges show signs of handling, with no apparent major tears on the front.
