Description

Illustrated First Day Cover (FDC) dedicated to the Museum of Art and Industry in Saint-Étienne, as visible on the front. The envelope features a detailed illustration representing the museum's facade, accompanied by flags and symbolic elements, in a composition typical of French commemorative philatelic issues. The dominant colors are blue, red, and black, applied on an off-white background.

In the upper right, the official stamp issued by the French Republic reproduces the museum's visual. It bears a First Day postmark "SAINT-ÉTIENNE / PREMIER JOUR / 23-4-77 / LOIRE", perfectly legible on the visible side. The inscription "PREMIER JOUR D’ÉMISSION HISTORIQUE" (HISTORICAL FIRST DAY OF ISSUE) as well as the mention "F.D.C." are printed in blue on the envelope.

On the left side, the text "MUSÉE D’ART ET D’INDUSTRIE DE SAINT-ÉTIENNE" (MUSEUM OF ART AND INDUSTRY OF SAINT-ÉTIENNE) is visible in capital letters, along with a light blue circular logo in the upper left. The entire item is presented in a transparent protective plastic sleeve. No handwritten inscriptions or personal annotations are visible on the front, apart from a small tag indicating "10F" in the lower right, probably an old price indication.
