Description

Old handwritten document presented on a period paper sheet, with cursive writing in brown ink. The piece bears a legible date at the top, "1.9.1797", and appears as a statement or administrative document mentioning sums, due dates, and references to an estate.

The layout, structured in successive lines, evokes a private or notarial management document: accounts, promises of payment, capital, interest, and mentions of people. Several passages remain legible, notably "Bordereau" (statement), "Colombet", "succession" (estate), and various sums entered in the margin or in the body of the text.

The paper has irregular edges, an old oxidized cream tint, and traces of folding, characteristic of handwritten documents kept unbound.
