Administrative manuscript document dated 1814, written in brown ink on old paper, with a 75 centime fiscal stamp. A 19th-century archive document related to a family and inheritance inventory.

Description

Old handwritten letter or administrative act from the early 19th century, dated in pencil at the top 15.3.1814. The document features regular cursive writing, in brown ink, organized in horizontal lines with inventory notes, family names, and household references.

The text notably concerns the Colombet family and refers to a descriptive inventory of effects, furniture, silverware, titles, and papers. Several rooms or spaces in the house are detailed, using domestic terminology characteristic of administrative and notarial acts of the period.

A printed fiscal stamp of 75 centimes appears at the top, accompanied by an allegorical design. The document also includes handwritten signatures at the end of the act, with large ink flourishes.

Context

Dated 1814, this document falls within the administrative and notarial practices of the early 19th century, a period during which post-mortem inventories, family divisions, and descriptive statements of property were precisely established. This type of writing serves as tangible evidence of civil life, heritage management, and domestic vocabulary during the nascent Restoration period.

Condition

Used antique document, sold as is. Yellowed paper with natural patina, usage folds, small marks, slight foxing, and irregular edges consistent with age and handling. The writing remains largely legible, with some areas paler or less clear depending on the folds and inking.
