Old handwritten letter, written in brown ink on a sheet of white paper with straight edges, laid flat on a wooden desk. The fine, regular cursive writing occupies almost the entire visible page. The letter begins with the dated mention "Lundi 11/11/18" (Monday 11/11/18) inscribed at the top center, clearly indicating correspondence from November 11, 1918, the historic date of the armistice of the First World War. The text is addressed to several family members, notably mentioning "Chère Maman, Chère Rose, cher Janmi, cher Charlot…" (Dear Mother, Dear Rose, dear Janmi, dear Charlot...).
