Old handwritten letter dated October 19, 1949, accompanied by its original shipping envelope with a red stamp and a partially legible postmark. The lot includes several sheets written in blue ink, visible in the photo, featuring regular and neat cursive handwriting, typical of mid-20th-century family correspondence.

The envelope, a classic rectangular format, bears a handwritten address in gray ink, with the mention "Madame Henri Blanc, Campagne F…". The period stamp and postmark are well preserved, lending a postal charm characteristic of the post-war years.

On the sheets, the text begins with "Ma chère maman" (My dear mother) and discusses family matters. Several paragraphs are written on slightly ivory-white paper, with some visible age-related stains, which do not affect overall legibility. The signature "Geneviève" appears at the bottom of the letter, accompanied by mentions of other family members ("Charles", "tonton" - uncle).
