Description Period handwritten letter, written on letterhead from "LA PROTECTRICE", a public limited company for fixed-premium insurance, with its registered office at 45-47, Rue de Châteaudun, Paris (IXe). The document features a typical layout from the 1930s-1940s, with black printing at the top of the page and regular margins. The handwritten text, in ink, occupies the lower half of the sheet, on a single visible side. The letter rests on a wooden desk, next to a gilded metal candlestick and in front of a row of old books, reinforcing the vintage and authentic atmosphere of the item.

The handwritten text begins with "Bonite guidoune" (pretty doll), followed by a personal message, likely addressed to a wife. The handwriting is cursive, regular, and indicative of intimate correspondence from the 1939-1945 period, in the midst of World War II, as suggested by the style and context of the letterhead. The signature, in the bottom right, remains difficult to identify but lends a personal and historical dimension to the whole. Note the central horizontal fold, typical of mail that has traveled or been kept in an envelope.

The paper has a slightly patinated ivory hue, characteristic of old documents, with clear printing of the letterhead and legal mentions in small characters at the bottom of the page. No ornamentation or illustration disturbs the administrative sobriety of the letter, which testifies to its professional use diverted for a private message during a troubled period.

The letter is presented flat, without framing or visible protection. No obvious signs of tearing or major stains are observable on the exposed side, apart from a slight crease and some expected signs of wear for a document of this era. The handwritten text remains almost entirely legible, making it an interesting piece for archives or 20th-century history enthusiasts.

Condition Used item, sold as is. Presence of a horizontal fold in the center, corners slightly rounded by time, handwritten text well preserved and legible. The paper has a natural patina related to age. No significant tears or stains visible on the photographed side.
