Old handwritten letter, dated August 4, 1960, accompanied by its original envelope. The letter is written in blue ink on a sheet of squared paper, typical of private correspondence from the mid-20th century. The fluid and regular handwriting spans two pages, with a clearly visible recipient's address at the top of the first page: "Malinas le 4-8-1960" followed by "Cher Serge".

The enclosed envelope bears a red "République Française" stamp with a legible postmark from Valence dated 5-8-1960. The handwritten address indicates "Monsieur Serge Julien, 34 Rue Pavillon, Marseille (1er)". A printed label "Valence Ville Étape Site Accueillant" (Valence Stopover Town Welcoming Site) appears on the upper left part of the envelope, adding a remarkable detail from the era.

The letter is written on the front of a squared sheet, carefully folded to fit into its envelope. The text, partially visible, evokes family news and thanks, with a personal and intimate tone.
