Description

This antique lithograph depicts a young woman with red hair, posing elegantly and subtly suggestively. The work is titled at the bottom of the composition: "Les Yeux pers et pervera (Deep-Sea Eyes)", with a printed signature at the bottom right, identified as "Meunier". The graphic style and the pastel color palette, dominated by shades of pink, beige, and brown, evoke the delicate and refined aesthetic of the early 20th century.

The young woman is dressed in a light, pink-tinged drapery, which leaves her shoulder bare and suggests the transparency of the fabric. She holds a partially open gray fan in front of her, adding a touch of mystery and sophistication to the scene. Her gaze, directed towards the viewer, is highlighted by subtle makeup, typical of 1920s feminine fashion.

The composition is surrounded by a wide white border, typical of art lithographs from this period. The inscription "ERRS, March 1922" appears at the bottom left, clearly indicating the publication date. To the right, the mention "By Sur. Meunier" specifies the author of the work. The lithograph is presented against an antique bookshelf background, which emphasizes its heritage character.

The lithographic technique used here offers a soft, almost ethereal rendering, which highlights the light and delicacy of the subject. The details of the face, hairstyle, and clothing are finely treated, testifying to certain artistic craftsmanship. This type of decorative image was particularly appreciated in bourgeois and artistic interiors of the early 20th century.

The paper shows slight undulations visible on the edges, probably related to storage or age, but the central image remains intact and without apparent stains. No frame or additional support is visible in the provided photo.
