Description

This old book, titled Poly à Paris and signed by Cécile Aubry, features a rigid illustrated cover in the childlike graphic style typical of the 1970s-1980s. The illustration shows the famous pony Poly in the foreground, in front of a Parisian urban setting, identifiable by the presence of the Eiffel Tower in the background. Beside him, a police officer in a blue uniform, several colorful cars, and a traffic sign add to the city atmosphere of the scene.

The book's title, "Poly à Paris", is inscribed in white letters on a bright red frame, contrasting with the dark blue of the cover. The author's name, "Cécile Aubry", appears at the top, in a rounded white typeface. The entire cover immediately evokes children's books published in France at the end of the 20th century, with a naive and colorful illustration that captures the attention of young readers.

The upper left edge of the dust jacket shows notable wear, with a visible tear and a slight fold in the cardboard, typical of old books that have been circulated. The rest of the cover, visible in the photo, appears to be in good general condition, with no stains or other apparent damage on the face shown.

The illustrated scene highlights Poly, the white pony with a grey mane, wearing a white satchel around his neck. In the background, the urban landscape, cars, trees, and road signs contribute to the Parisian atmosphere, reinforced by the stylized representation of the Eiffel Tower.
