Description

This vintage paperback, titled « On t'enverra du monde », is a detective novel by the famous commissioner San-Antonio. The book features an illustrated cover typical of popular French editions from the mid-20th century, with a graphic scene depicting a man in a hat and a woman, in a very distinctive retro detective style. The dominant color palette combines midnight blue, the bright red of the title, and a red band at the bottom of the cover, all enhanced by shades of beige and green on the characters. The author's name and the mention « Fleuve Noir » are clearly legible at the bottom of the cover, typical of the original editions of this detective novel collection.

The visible cover shows significant signs of wear, with vertical and horizontal creases, blunted corners, and slight warping, testifying to the handling and age of the copy. The spine of the book is not visible, but the front edge appears slightly curved. The cover's printing, with its red and white typography, as well as the illustrator's signature (« M. Gourdon »), reinforces the vintage authenticity of this copy. The overall atmosphere is in the tradition of post-war French detective novels, characterized by evocative graphics and a cinematic staging.

The scene depicted on the cover, with its close-up characters and film noir visual codes (hat, mysterious gesture), perfectly illustrates the aesthetic of San-Antonio novels published by Fleuve Noir. The format is paperback, recognizable by its compact size and the flexibility of the cardboard cover. No other binding details, nor information on the back cover or interior pages, are visible in the photo.
