Description

This lot consists of two antique spoons with regionalist decoration, presented in a red velvet-lined case. Each spoon features an finial adorned with a colorful enamelled coat of arms, typical of Alsace, with distinct heraldic motifs. The handle displays a stylized relief decoration, highlighting a refined finish, common in 20th-century regional souvenir items.

The spoons have a bright golden finish on the convex part and the handle, while the end of the handle is distinguished by polychrome enamel showcasing the coat of arms. The main visible enamel colors are red, blue, black, and white, with each spoon displaying a different heraldic motif, including geometric details and chevron patterns, typical of the Alsatian style. The contours of the coat of arms are framed by a carved border, adding relief to the overall design.

The set is presented in a rigid box, lined with brick-red velvet and edged with a purple trim, which enhances the traditional appeal of these objects. The box opens on a hinge and closes with a small golden clasp, clearly visible in the photo. The inside of the lid is also lined with matching velvet, offering a neat and elegant presentation.

Each elongated spoon has a rounded and polished bowl. The handles, worked in relief, end with a large enamelled medallion that immediately catches the eye. No markings, engravings, or text are visible on the photographed upper side, apart from the enamelled heraldic motifs.

Used item sold as is. The spoons and case show a beautiful overall visual appearance, with a homogeneous patina on the metal parts and well-preserved enamel on the coats of arms. Any minor signs of use or wear can only be assessed on the visible sides.
