Description

This lot brings together four original Asterix comic books, as shown in the photo. There are two copies of "Le ciel lui tombe sur la tête" (Albert René), one album "Astérix et la Transitalique" as well as an old album "Astérix Légionnaire" (Dargaud éditeur). The illustrated covers feature the famous characters created by R. Goscinny and A. Uderzo, recognizable by their typical graphic style of Franco-Belgian comics.

The albums "Le ciel lui tombe sur la tête" feature a colorful hardback cover, with Asterix in the foreground, Obelix and Dogmatix in the background, and a luminous projectile crossing the scene. The titles are clearly legible, with the mention "Albert René" at the bottom left, typical of recent editions. The dominant green and yellow on the cover is characteristic of this adventure.

"Astérix et la Transitalique" depicts a chariot race scene against an Italian landscape, with Asterix and Obelix driving a chariot. The title is printed in red and black, and the cover bears the mention "Texte Jean-Yves Ferri, Dessins Didier Conrad", indicating a publication among the most recent albums in the series. The dynamic illustration and vibrant colors are true to the Asterix universe.

The album "Astérix Légionnaire" is distinguished by an ivory-colored cardboard cover, featuring an aged illustration with visible signs of wear, typical of older Dargaud editions. The main characters, Asterix and Obelix, appear in Roman legionary attire, surrounded by companions. The title and typography recall the collection's early editions.

The visible edges show signs of use, particularly on the "Légionnaire" album which shows marks of age, yellowing of the paper and blunted corners. The other albums are in good visual condition, with some signs of use on the corners and edges, without any major apparent chips on the exposed side.

Condition

These albums are second-hand and sold as is. The cover of the "Astérix Légionnaire" album shows signs of wear and age; the other albums are in good overall condition with slight handling marks visible in the photo.

Did you know? The first Asterix adventure was published in 1959 in Pilote magazine, before becoming one of the most translated comic book series in the world. The album "Astérix Légionnaire" is one of the first titles published by Dargaud, while Albert René editions took over for more recent albums, perpetuating the legacy of Uderzo and Goscinny.
