Description

This lot includes several postage stamps displayed on an album page, all issued by the Philippines, as indicated by the "PILIPINAS" inscription printed on each stamp. These stamps feature a wide variety of illustrated themes, ranging from portraits of historical, political, or cultural figures to depictions of animals, monuments, and national events. The colors are varied and vibrant, with dominant blues, reds, greens, yellows, and blacks depending on the subjects.

Some stamps display different face values, such as "₱2.00", "₱2.80", "40s", "15s", or "3.00", which indicates multiple issues over several periods. Several illustrations highlight exotic birds, portraits (for example, a man in official attire), commemorative scenes, or official emblems. There are also thematic stamps related to congresses (for example, "Dental Congress Manila 1986"), philatelic exhibitions, or international events ("YMCA Diamond Jubilee").

Most stamps are canceled, with postmark impressions partially legible on some pieces. The cancellations vary in intensity, some covering a significant portion of the visual, others being more discreet. The stamps are arranged under transparent strips, allowing for a good view of their general condition. Animal subjects notably include parrots and other tropical birds, while historical themes are illustrated by portraits of political figures or local personalities.

Some stamps also feature architectural motifs or scenes of Philippine life, such as official buildings, landscapes, or daily life scenes. Additional inscriptions are noted, such as "Ministry of Labor and Employment," "PHILATELIC WEEK 1973," or "INTOSAI," which enriches the diversity of this lot. Graphic styles vary, ranging from stylized drawing to photography, reflecting the evolution of Philippine postal issues over several decades.

The lot comprises approximately 35 stamps visible in the photo, all in used condition, with traces of cancellation and some typical wear marks for circulated stamps. No stamp appears torn or massively damaged on the visible side. The colors remain well-preserved, and the diversity of themes makes this a varied set, interesting for any thematic or geographical research on Philippine philately.
