Description

This old magazine is a copy of the weekly periodical "7 Jours", issue 38 dated June 22, 1941. The cover features a characteristic red frame, with the "7 Jours" logo in the upper left. The main title, in black capital letters, announces: "How Syria was attacked". A large black and white photograph occupies most of the front page, showing two men in traditional dress on camelback, in a setting evocative of the Near East.

The magazine displays a typical layout of illustrated press from the 1940s, with a dominance of black, white, and red tones on the cover. The inscription "N°38 22 JUIN 1941" as well as the price "2 fr." are clearly visible in the lower right. A box also specifies: "These camel cavalrymen from Palmyra, defenders, against superior forces, of the French states of the Levant."

The spine of the magazine shows slight wear, typical of old periodicals, without preventing the good readability of the cover. No other major defects are visible on the displayed side. The graphic composition, photographic style, and typography are consistent with publications of the period, reinforcing the authenticity of this vintage press document.

This issue stands out for its historical theme, related to the events of World War II in the Levant, making it a visual and documentary testament to the French press of the 1940s. The cover, well preserved for its age, still shows clear contrasts and perfectly legible text.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. Visible wear on the spine, slightly marked corners. Readable cover, with no apparent tears on the displayed side.
