Description

This vintage magazine is a copy of the French periodical "7 Jours", issue 41 dated August 10, 1941. The cover features a striking black and white visual, typical of the press from the early 1940s, with a distinctive wide red border. The main headline "Six weeks of war: Where is the U.S.S.R.?" reflects the international news and the context of World War II, the central theme of the issue.

At the bottom of the cover, a photograph shows three military officers in uniform in front of a plane, illustrating the section "The pennants of bombing group 1/39 returning from Syria". This military iconography, associated with the sober and impactful typography of the title, reflects the graphic and editorial style characteristic of French illustrated press from the 1940s.

The "7 Jours" logo is clearly visible at the top left, with a clear mention of the issue number and date ("N 41, August 10, 1941") at the bottom right, as well as the original price ("2 fr."). The spine and corners of the magazine show slight wear visible in the photo, characteristic of an old newspaper that has stood the test of decades. The entire document has a patinated look, with a flexible cover printed in two colors (red and black on a beige background).

The visual style is faithful to the weekly news press of the era, with a structured layout, documentary photography, and capitalized titles. No other text is visible on the front, and no information about the internal content is accessible from the photo.

Condition

This magazine is used and sold as is. The cover shows visible signs of wear (blunt corners, slight marks on the spine), with no apparent tears on the shown side. The colors and printing remain clear for a document of this period.

Did you know? The magazine "7 Jours" was a French weekly news magazine published during the first half of the 20th century. This issue, dated August 1941, was published in the middle of World War II, at a time when the French press was subject to censorship but played a key role in disseminating information about international events, particularly regarding the evolution of the Eastern Front and the situation of the USSR against Nazi Germany.
