This old magazine, visible in the photo, is a period copy of the famous French periodical Le Journal des Brodeuses, a professional embroidery journal. The cover, richly adorned with black and white floral motifs, features large decorative typography surrounded by vegetal arabesques. The edition presented is dated December 15, 1937 (2nd year, no. 487), published in Lyon by F. Laurent, as indicated on the first page.

The visible page offers a detailed table of contents on the left, listing several sections related to embroidery (sheets, children's linen, doilies, etc.), as well as a large decorative alphabet with patterns, intended for reproduction or inspiration for hand embroidery. The letters are drawn in a highly elaborate typographic style, with graphic ornaments typical of the late Art Deco period, and are accompanied by geometric motifs and monograms on the right side of the page.
