Description

This vintage magazine is a copy of the famous periodical "AVIATION Magazine de l'espace". The cover features a color photograph of a French military transport aircraft, surrounded by uniformed crew members, illustrating the main theme "The Shortest Night". The aircraft occupies most of the cover, with visible details of the metallic fuselage, portholes, and propeller. The image evokes the atmosphere of military air transport in the 1960s, with characteristic night lighting and dark tones.

In the upper left, the "AVIATION Magazine de l'espace" logo is clearly visible on a yellow background, typical of the magazine's layout at that time. The main title "The shortest night – The Military Air Transport Congress" is printed in white letters, providing a strong contrast against the dark background of the photograph. At the bottom of the cover, a caption clarifies the context of the photo: "French military transport crews… during the shortest night of the year, in a friendly competition."

The issue number of this magazine is clearly indicated at the bottom right: "Number 350, July 1, 1967". Prices for France, Belgium, and Switzerland are also printed, attesting to the international distribution of the magazine at the time. This detail, combined with the graphic presentation, confirms the vintage authenticity of the copy.

The magazine is photographed flat, on a wooden surface, with a row of old books in the background, reinforcing the retro character of the object. The cover shows some handling marks and slight creases, typical of old publications that have circulated.

The layout, military iconography, and typographical elements are characteristic of specialized aeronautical magazines of the 1960s. The whole offers a precise visual testimony to the history of French military aviation and the specialized press of that period.

Condition
