Description

This vintage magazine presented here is an original copy of Charlie Hebdo, dated Thursday, December 11, 1975 (No. 265). The visible cover features a satirical drawing signed by Cabu, depicting an expressive caricature of François Mitterrand with the handwritten inscription "MITTERRAND VIEILLE FRIPOUILLE!" (MITTERRAND OLD SCOUNDREL!) in bright yellow, on a black background. A white speech bubble on the right proclaims "JE VOUS AI BIEN EUS!" (I GOT YOU GOOD!), reinforcing the ironic and committed tone characteristic of the newspaper.

The yellow banner at the top of the front page displays the mention "LA GAUCHE MILITARISTE" (THE MILITARISTIC LEFT), highlighting the polemical and political tone of the issue. The title "CHARLIE HEBDO" appears in large gray typography, immediately recognizable to any fan of French satirical press. The overall cover is characteristic of the graphic and editorial style of the magazine in the 70s, with a strong use of contrasting colors (black, gray, yellow) and a large central black and white illustration.

Cabu's drawing, an emblematic figure of the newspaper, occupies almost the entire page, with its dynamic lines, incisive style, and exaggerated details that accentuate the satirical message. The handwritten inscriptions and energetic lettering perfectly reflect the rebellious spirit of the era and the magazine. The copy is presented flat on a wooden background, which allows appreciation of the general condition and readability of the front page.

The mention "10F" is visible at the top right, indicating the original price in French francs. No other interior content or back details are visible in the photo. The issue number, date, and Cabu's signature are clearly legible on this side. This edition perfectly illustrates the aesthetic and political commitment of the French satirical press of the 1970s.

Condition

Used item sold as is. The cover shows moderate wear compatible with its age: slightly blunted corners, visible crease at the top left, and signs of use on the edges. The colors and drawing remain clear and legible.
