Description

This magazine shown in the photo is an old copy of the "Officiel Karaté" magazine, the official publication of the French Karate Federation. It is issue number 12, as indicated on the cover, with a typical 1970s to 1980s presentation: a soft cover predominantly white and green, black and white printing, illustrated layout and retro typography. The cover features the graphic "KARATE" logo at the top, topped with the mention "Revue Officielle de la Fédération Française" (Official Review of the French Federation).

The detailed table of contents is highlighted on the first page, with a structured list of articles and sections, including: editorial, France-Japan, French Cup, portraits of champions, national and international news, and club information. Several black and white photos illustrate the cover, including a working session of the technical commission and a "Clermont Ferrand" crest on a stylized karateka background.

The green spine, characteristic of certain sports magazine editions from this period, frames the page and gives the whole a immediately recognizable vintage look. The visible page also shows the publisher's cartridge at the bottom left ("Officiel Karaté, Magazine de Karaté, Sage Promotion, 75013 Paris"), as well as the list of editorial and technical staff.

The copy has an authentic appearance, with slight visible handling marks: slightly dog-eared corners, small marks and creases on the cover, but no apparent tears or major missing parts on the visible side. The paper shows a natural patina, typical of old publications.

This specialized review is a representative piece of the French sports press dedicated to martial arts, appreciated for its historical content, its reports on championships, and its portraits of prominent figures in karate in France.
