Description

This illustrated magazine is a copy of the famous "Le Nouveau Pif", issue 755, identifiable by its colorful cover and its title "La Barbe Pépé!" in large yellow letters on a red background. The cover features two comic strip characters: an old man with a long white beard, a green hat and expressive features, accompanied by the dog Pif, the emblematic mascot of the magazine. The overall look presents a graphic style typical of the 80s, with bright colors and marked outlines.

In the upper left, one can see the "Le Nouveau Pif" logo in black and red, as well as the mention "N° 755" and the price "8 F." The lower right corner indicates the presence of an associated gadget: "et son gadget LE BOWLING DE TABLE", a particularity that made this youth magazine famous. The visible spine suggests a stapled binding, standard for this type of periodical.

The paper shows a slight patina due to age, with visible yellowing on the upper edge and some signs of wear: dog-eared corners, small tears, and usage marks on the cover. The background color, predominantly red and yellow, retains good legibility despite the years. The whole evokes the retro aesthetic typical of French youth press from the 1980s.

This issue, dedicated to the humorous and inventive world of Pif Gadget, is representative of the popular comic book spirit of the period, with caricatured characters and an eye-catching layout. The mention of the original gadget ("table bowling") is visible but the accessory is not shown in the photo.
