Description

This illustrated magazine is a vintage issue of the famous children's publication "Pif Gadget". Its cover features a colorful visual typical of the 1980s, dominated by a vibrant pink and yellow background, adorned with multi-colored stars. The title "Next week" and the announcement of a "grand competition" for microcomputers are displayed in the upper left, attesting to an era when computing was beginning to enter French homes.

The cover highlights a key gadget from this issue: "the spider web pocket tidy", illustrated by a photo of a blue plastic gadget containing various small objects (pen, candy, coin, etc.) as well as a fake black spider. This visual staging, associated with the mention "your practical and decorative gadget", reflects the playful and inventive spirit of the magazine.

In the lower left, a musical group in white costumes, identified as "Les Forbans", is featured among the guests in this issue, adding a cultural and musical touch to the whole. To the right, the cover prominently displays an illustration of the character "Capitaine Apache", with the mention "The death of Big Bear", suggestive of an episode or central story in this magazine.

The graphic layout and illustration style, as well as references to computing and popular musical groups, place this issue in the first half of the 1980s. The presence of elements typical of children's press from this period (competition, gadget, guests, comic strip) reinforces this visual dating.

The overall visible condition shows moderate wear: the spine has some signs of use, the lower left corner is slightly dog-eared, and the entire cover shows small signs of handling, with no apparent tears on the visible front.

Condition

Used magazine, sold as is, with visible signs of wear and marks on the cover (see photo).

Did you know? The magazine "Pif Gadget" made its mark on several generations of readers in France thanks to its unique concept: each issue offered a new, often inventive, gadget that accompanied the reading of comic strips and various articles. This concept helped make "Pif Gadget" an emblematic title in the children's press from the 1970s and 1980s.
