Magazine Pif N°807 vintage 9F with 80s retro candy dispenser gadget
AFW - Antique France Worldwide
Description
This illustrated magazine is an authentic copy of "Le Nouveau Pif" No. 807, identifiable by its colorful cover and distinctive logo in the upper left. It is an iconic French youth periodical, recognizable by the mention "et son gadget" (and its gadget) as well as the presence of the original price (9F) and the clearly visible edition number. The cover features a "Pif candy dispenser" gadget, illustrated by a photograph of a hand holding a yellow and blue dispenser, typical of the playful aesthetic of the 1980s.
The cover presents a dynamic graphic composition, dominated by a vibrant green background and yellow elements to attract the eye. A large technical drawing occupies most of the page, representing a complex tubular labyrinth, accompanied by iconic comic strip characters from the Pif universe, including the main character in the lower right, running with his sidekick.
Several secondary titles are printed directly on the cover, such as "UNE GRANDE AVENTURE ARGYR Le satellite fou" (A GREAT ADVENTURE ARGYR The crazy satellite) and "PIF tombe dans l’ordinateur" (PIF falls into the computer), announcing the stories to discover inside. A speech bubble and several graphic stars reinforce the humorous comic book style of the era. The colors remain vibrant although the spine of the cover shows slight fading, typical of a vintage item handled and preserved for several decades.
The lower left corner specifies the reference "M 2806 - 807 – 9,00 F", confirming the dating and edition. The edges of the magazine visible in the photo appear generally regular, with moderate signs of wear, without major tears or obvious missing parts on the front. The layout, the use of yellow lettering on a green background, and the photographed hand holding the gadget, are characteristic of French youth publications from the early to mid-1980s.
