Description

This magazine is an original copy of "Le Nouveau Pif" No. 810, dated 1983, recognizable by its predominantly green and yellow cover and its iconic title "Pif et son gadget." The cover highlights the issue's famous gadget: "Laurent Voulzy's glasses," featuring a photograph of the artist holding the gadget, a fancy black plastic accessory with two yellow round openings. The overall aesthetic is typical of early 1980s French youth magazines, with vibrant colors and dynamic graphics.

The upper part of the cover displays a humorous cartoon featuring a comic book character in a car stunt, true to the quirky and playful tone of Pif magazine. On the right side, an illustration of the character "Capitaine Apache" announces one of the comic book adventures featured in this issue ("Les crotales des collines rouges"). Several other series and comic strips are mentioned, including "Les cent ans de l’auto" and complete stories with Hercule, Manivelle, Dicentim, etc.

The visual also reveals various characteristic graphic elements: bold pink and black lettering for "Pif," colorful stars, solid color blocks segmenting the page, and retro-style informational boxes. The issue's guest, Laurent Voulzy, is honored with a quote in a bright pink box, reinforcing the event-like aspect of this issue for readers of the time.

The spine of the magazine shows slight deformation and visible wear on the edge, typical of old copies that have circulated. The corners of the cover show signs of use (creases, scuffs, small missing parts), without affecting the readability of the titles or main illustrations. The cover remains generally well preserved for a magazine of this period.

This issue of Pif perfectly illustrates the graphic style and playful atmosphere of 1980s youth magazines, both through its rich illustrations and the emphasis on the included gadget, here the famous special-effect glasses. Issue 810 is also identifiable by its original price (9 F) and the numbering in the upper left.

Condition

Used magazine, sold as is. The visible cover shows significant wear: scuffed corners, creases, small tears on the edge, and a patinated appearance consistent with a copy handled and stored for several decades. The main illustrations and texts remain legible.
