Description

This illustrated magazine presented here is an original copy of the famous "Le Nouveau Pif" No. 814. The cover, with its bright and saturated colors, is dominated by a red background adorned with yellow, green, and blue stars, typical of the graphic style of the 1980s. The title "Pif" is printed in yellow and red letters, accompanied by the mascot Pif the dog, emblematic of the series. In the upper right, a green vignette highlights Inspector Gadget, an iconic cartoon figure, with the mention "Inspector Gadget's collector and his sticker pouch."

The cover also features a photo of Stéphane Collaro, special guest of this issue, staged with a gadget, under the catchy title "La boîte mystérieuse" (The mysterious box), in black lettering on a blue background. Several inserts present the magazine's content: "Grand prix du dessin animé de télévision" (Grand Prize for Television Cartoons), "Lucky Luke," "Le tour du monde en 80 jours" (Around the World in 80 Days), as well as "Les truffes d’or de Pif 1984" (Pif's Golden Truffles 1984). The overall visual composition is typical of 80s youth magazines, with a dynamic layout and a mix of photographs, illustrations, and colorful texts. The spine of the magazine shows slight wear, characteristic of read and handled copies, which gives the whole an authentic period look.

On the visible part, no major tears are identifiable, but marks of use, handling traces, and slight creases are visible on the cover, particularly at the edges and corners. The colors remain well-contrasted, indicating good overall preservation despite the used condition.

This issue stands out due to the presence of popular comic and cartoon characters, such as Pif, Inspector Gadget, Lucky Luke, and Cogan, making it a significant testament to pop culture and French-language youth publications of the early 1980s.
