Description

This illustrated magazine is a vintage issue of the famous children's periodical "Pif et son gadget," specifically issue n°842. The cover features a predominance of bright colors, mainly red, yellow, and blue, typical of popular children's publications from the 1980s. The dynamic layout highlights the issue's gadget, titled "Le Pique-Sou Magic," presented as a clever magician's accessory. Two realistic, colorful characters occupy the foreground: a smiling young boy wearing a black top hat and a man in a blue suit, visibly surprised and holding a light blue disc (the gadget visible on the cover).

The "Pif" logo is clearly visible at the top left, accompanied by the mention "Le Nouveau Pif et son gadget" as well as the price "10 F" and the number "N° 842". On the right, a colorful vignette features the comic strip characters "Pif et Hercule," illustrated running, with the mention "Pif et Hercule coureurs de fond" (Pif and Hercule long-distance runners). At the bottom of the cover, a yellow banner announces a free supplement "TELEPOSTER," as well as the slogan "Le 1er journal T.V. des jeunes" (The 1st TV newspaper for young people).

The cover is made of printed paper, with four-color illustrations and texts. The colors remain vibrant despite a slight yellowing visible on the spine, suggesting an authentic patina related to the magazine's age. There is slight creasing on the lower left corner and some signs of wear on the spine, typical of an old, handled copy. No major missing parts or apparent tears on the visible front.

The layout, fonts, and iconography are characteristic of the 1980s, confirming the retro and vintage positioning of this issue. This type of magazine was known for the gadget offered with each edition, here announced as "Le Pique-Sou Magic."

The magazine is photographed flat on a white tablecloth with a subtle pattern, which highlights the cover and allows for an appreciation of the overall condition of the front.
