Description

This magazine is an original copy of Spirou, issue number 2329, identifiable by the inscription visible on the cover. It is a weekly comic strip periodical, emblematic of Franco-Belgian youth press. The cover, predominantly light blue and white, displays the "SPIROU" logo in the upper left, with a yellow band bearing the inscription "contre l’abolition de l’esclaffage!" (against the abolition of slavery!).

The cover page is structured around five illustrated black and white vignettes, featuring humorous and caricatural characters, typical of the Spirou universe. The central scene, circled in blue and yellow, shows a police officer character accompanied by a dog, drawn in a recognizable style of Franco-Belgian comic strips from the 70s and 80s.

At the bottom of the page, the catchy title "AU SECOURS ILS SONT TOUS FOUS!" (HELP, THEY'RE ALL CRAZY!) occupies a large part of the cover with imposing and dynamic blue typography, reinforcing the playful and eccentric aspect characteristic of the publication. To the left, a barcode and the price in francs are visible, placing the item in the pre-euro period, confirming its vintage nature.

The magazine shows a slightly worn edge, with a folded bottom right corner, indicating prior use while maintaining good legibility of the cover. No other major flaws are visible on the presented face.

The cover perfectly illustrates the retro and humorous spirit of Spirou magazine, with typical 1980s graphics, both in the choice of colors and in the drawing style and layout.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. The copy shows moderate signs of wear visible on the spine and a folded corner, but overall remains in good condition for a magazine of this era.

Did you know? Spirou magazine, created in 1938, is one of the oldest weekly comic strip magazines in Europe. It gave birth to iconic characters such as Spirou, Fantasio, Gaston Lagaffe, and the Marsupilami, and contributed to the popularization of sequential art in France and Belgium.
