Description

This magazine, visible in the photo, is an issue of the famous Franco-Belgian periodical "Spirou," identifiable by its colorful cover, the distinctive logo at the top left, and the issue number "N°3316" mentioned on the spine. The cover features an original, dynamically drawn illustration depicting several comic book characters in a winter scene, around a Christmas tree and gift packages, typical of Spirou's humorous and family-friendly universe. A "SPIROU d'Or – Les résultats" (Spirou Gold – The Results) insert in red and yellow is also visible on the right side of the cover, suggesting a special or competition-themed issue.

The cover design, with its bright flat colors (sky blue, yellow, pink, green), dynamic characters, and the characteristic drawing style of the 90s, confirms this magazine's belonging to the tradition of Franco-Belgian youth comics. At the top, the slogan "Tiens ? Celui-là, je ne l’ai pas lu !" (Oh? I haven't read that one!) adds an extra touch of humor. The barcode on the lower left, as well as the price in francs ("10,00 F"), attest to its publication period before the euro.

The visible spine bears the vertical mention "SPiROU" followed by the number 3316, which precisely identifies this issue for research or referencing. No major defects are visible on the front face: the cover appears clean, without significant creases, tears, or apparent stains, and retains its original gloss. The photo only shows the front cover; the back and interior are not visible and will therefore not be described.

The illustrated scene highlights the festive spirit and lighthearted tone of the magazine, with stylized characters typical of the Franco-Belgian school. The colors are crisp and bright, the paper appears glossy, typical of Spirou editions from the 1990s.

Condition

This magazine is used and sold as is. The cover presents a good overall appearance, with no visible defects on the front. The other sides are not visible in the photo.

Did you know? The Spirou magazine, created in 1938 by the Belgian publisher Dupuis, is one of the oldest comic weeklies in Europe. It has featured iconic authors like Franquin, Tome & Janry, and Rob-Vel, and has been the springboard for many cult series such as "Spirou et Fantasio," "Gaston Lagaffe," or "Le Petit Spirou."
