Description

The magazine presented is a copy of the famous comic book periodical "Spirou," identifiable by its distinctive illustrated cover and its large red title "SPIRou" at the top. This is issue number 3462, as indicated by the yellow badge on the left side of the cover. This issue is dated 2004, visible through the Olympic rings motif and the inscription "2004 NOTRE BÉDÉLÉGATION" at the bottom of the page. The front cover features comic book characters in costumes evoking antiquity, a nod to the Olympic theme of this edition.

The upper part of the cover presents an illustrated frieze composed of vignettes highlighting several emblematic heroes of Franco-Belgian comic strips, some of which are easily recognizable. The barcode and price (€1.60) are printed vertically on the left side. The magazine is in a classic comic press format, with a flexible cover predominantly red and beige, typical of Spirou editions from that period.

On the cover, several editorial mentions are visible, such as "Nos reporters en pleine embrouille à Kinshasa ! p.29" (Our reporters in trouble in Kinshasa! p.29), "Même les employés de bureau ont leurs Jeux Olympiques ! p.28" (Even office workers have their Olympic Games! p.28), and "Éric Moussambani, héros olympique p.34" (Éric Moussambani, Olympic hero p.34), suggesting rich content of reports and thematic features, in connection with the 2004 Olympic Games.

The general condition of the item shows a clean cover, with slight handling marks visible on the upper right corner (marked crease). The colors remain vibrant, with no major discoloration apparent. No tears or missing parts are visible on the presented side. The spine is not visible in this photo.

Condition

Used magazine, sold as is. Slight crease on the upper right corner, overall satisfactory appearance for an issue from this era.

Did you know? The magazine Spirou, created in 1938 by the Belgian publisher Dupuis, is one of the oldest French-language comic weeklies still in activity. It has given birth to many cult series, such as "Gaston Lagaffe," "Les Schtroumpfs" (The Smurfs), or "Spirou et Fantasio." Special issues dedicated to global events, such as the Olympic Games, are particularly sought after for their historical value and original content.
