Description

This magazine, visible in the photo, is a copy of the famous illustrated weekly "Spirou," a well-known title in Francophone comics. It is issue number 3373, as indicated on the cover. The front page features a blue-dominated color illustration, depicting two characters: a young boy wearing a yellow t-shirt, dark pants, and a red scarf, and a tall, stylized woman with blue skin, long black hair, surrounded by white stars on a midnight blue background. The inscription "Oscar le charmeur de gitanes!" appears at the bottom of the cover.

The magazine's header displays the "SPIROU" logo in red letters on a white polka-dotted background, accompanied by a drawing of the character Spirou in the upper right corner. The bottom right corner shows the barcode and the original price (€1.60), with the reference "M 03251 - 3373 - F. 1,60 €" clearly legible. The magazine is placed vertically in front of a shelf of old books, recalling the retro and heritage universe of paper comics.

The cover shows a glossy finish typical of magazines from this period, with vibrant colors and offset printing. No other elements (spine, interior, or back cover) are visible in the provided image.

The graphic style of the cover and the layout are characteristic of French youth publications from the late 1990s and early 2000s. The humorous drawing, bold colors, and lettering highlight the retro appeal and collector's spirit of this issue.

Condition

This magazine is second-hand and sold as is. The cover shows some handling marks visible in the bottom left corner (slight creases), but retains beautiful colors and a generally well-preserved appearance for a vintage copy.

Did you know? Spirou magazine has been published weekly since 1938 and has seen the debut of many major Franco-Belgian comic book artists, such as Franquin, Tome & Janry, and Fournier. The magazine's format has evolved little over the decades, making it an iconic object in the history of illustrated youth press.
