Description

This magazine, visible in the photo, is an issue of the famous illustrated weekly "Tintin," with "1985" prominently displayed on the cover. The front cover features an iconic drawing by Hergé, with Tintin and Snowy sledding down a snowy slope, waving to the reader. At the top left is the "Tintin" logo in bold blue letters on a pink background, accompanied by the mention "L’HEBDOMADAIRE DES SUPER-JEUNES DE 7 À 77 ANS" (The Weekly for Super-Young People Aged 7 to 77).

An illustrated insert at the top right shows the character Castafiore, exclaiming in a speech bubble: "ET POUR BIEN COMMENCER L’ANNÉE, À MOUSSE DE RIRE, LA TÊTE DE TINTIN" (And to start the year off right, rolling with laughter, Tintin's head). The central illustration is characteristic of the ligne claire style, with vibrant colors and clear outlines. In the background, a forest of snowy fir trees evokes a typical winter atmosphere for the magazine's special issues.

At the bottom right of the cover, the signature "Hergé" and the reference "1-1-85" are clearly visible, confirming the authenticity of this edition as a special New Year's issue. The spine, visible in the photo, shows slight wear consistent with an old copy but is generally well-preserved for its age.

The layout and graphics are typical of the 80s, with a strong use of blue and red, striking visual elements, and iconography faithful to the world of Franco-Belgian comics. No other interior details are visible in the image; only the front cover is shown.

On the left side, legal notices printed in blue indicate the origin and selling price in various French-speaking countries, confirming that it is a period French-language edition. The overall item has a collector's appeal, sought after for the quality of its original illustration and its value as a vintage youth press item.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. The cover shows slight signs of wear, particularly on the spine and corners, but remains generally in good condition for a magazine of this era. No major tears or stains are visible on the front face.

Did you know? The "Tintin" magazine was launched in 1946 and captivated several generations of readers with the adventures of Tintin, as well as many other famous Franco-Belgian comic series. Special New Year's issues, like the 1985 one, were eagerly awaited for their festive covers and new content.
