Description

This illustrated magazine, visible in the photo, is an issue of the weekly "Tintin," an iconic publication dedicated to Franco-Belgian comics. The cover, predominantly bright yellow with a red border, prominently displays the title "Tintin," topped by the mention "76 pages." There is also a visual combining photography and illustration: a man (a real person) is blowing out candles on a cake, surrounded by illustrated characters from the "Chick Bill" series, all enjoying cake in a humorous style typical of comics.

The cover explicitly mentions "CHICK BILL 25 bougies!" (CHICK BILL 25 candles!), highlighting a special anniversary issue dedicated to this series. The Chick Bill characters, in their recognizable outfits (yellow plaid shirt, belts, boots), are meticulously drawn by Tibet, the series' historical artist, whose signature "Tibet 83" is visible at the bottom right of the illustration.

At the top of the magazine, one reads: "L’hebdomadaire des super-jeunes de 7 à 77 ans" (The weekly for super-young people from 7 to 77). On the left edge are the indications "Belgique 40 FB - Canada 1,5 - Espagne 60 pts - France 15 F," as well as the reference "33e année - Belgique N° 39 - France N° 159." This identifies this issue as an example from the 1980s, in the great tradition of youth publications of the era.

The magazine is displayed standing, at a slight angle, on a wooden table, highlighting the shine of the cover and the vibrancy of the original colors. No major flaws are visible on the front face: the spine is straight, the corners are slightly rounded but without major scuffs. A slight natural curve due to handling or storage is discernible, but the cover remains taut and the colors very fresh.

The graphics, typical of vintage comic magazines, combine photographic elements and iconic drawings, with a dynamic and festive composition. The ensemble immediately evokes the world of Tintin magazine and the retro comic spirit of the 1980s.

Condition

This magazine is a used item, sold as is. The visible front face shows good preservation with vibrant colors; no tears, major creases, or stains are visible on the presented cover. The condition of the inner pages and the back is not visible in the photo.
