Description

This illustrated magazine is an old copy of the famous "Tintin" periodical. The visible cover features a large comic drawing, highlighting the character Placid (from Placid et Muzo), recognizable by his red beret and giant paintbrush, as well as a tube of paint in his right hand. The title "nouveau Tintin" is printed in very large red and black letters, on a brown background, with a fresh paint drip effect that immediately catches the eye. The subtitle in blue is also visible: "L’hebdomadaire des jeunes de 7 à 77 ans" (The weekly for young people aged 7 to 77).

The cover layout, the graphic style of the characters, and the overall aesthetic are typical of youth magazines published in the 1970s, with a strong retro visual identity. The plain brown background highlights the central illustration, while the character occupies almost the entire cover, in a humorous and expressive drawing style, immediately recognizable to fans of classic comic strips.

The magazine is displayed upright, at a slight angle, on a wooden table, in front of an old bookcase. The partially visible spine confirms the thickness of a classic periodical. No other text or content details are visible on the front, apart from the graphics and elements mentioned above.

The general condition shows signs of wear related to age: there is a visible missing piece on the upper left corner of the cover, a slight curve on the top edge, as well as handling creases, particularly in the center and on the edges. These marks are typical of a vintage magazine that has been read and kept without rigid protection.

The graphic composition and the choice of the character Placid on the cover make this issue both a decorative and emblematic object of Franco-Belgian illustrated youth press. The absence of barcodes or modern elements reinforces the vintage and authentic character of this copy.

Condition

Used item, sold as is, with signs of wear, creases, and a visible chip on the cover (upper left corner).

Did you know? The "Tintin" magazine was launched in 1946 by Raymond Leblanc in Belgium, before a French edition appeared in 1948. This periodical played a major role in the spread of Franco-Belgian comics, hosting major authors such as Hergé, Edgar P. Jacobs, and Greg, and regularly featuring covers illustrated by the newspaper's flagship characters.
