Description

This vintage magazine features the iconic cover of "Nouveau Tintin" (New Tintin), a weekly comic book for young people. The front page showcases a striking illustration of the character Jugurtha, depicted in action, with broken chains on his wrists, against a plain blue background. The title "Jugurtha les loups de la steppe..." (Jugurtha the Wolves of the Steppe...) is printed in yellow and green, adding contrast to the composition. The illustration, with its graphic style typical of the 70s, stands out for its bold lines and expressive rendering, true to the aesthetic of Tintin magazine from that period.

The upper part of the cover displays the "nouveau tintin" logo in red and black letters, accompanied by the text "L'HEBDOMADAIRE DES SUPER-JEUNES DE 7 À 77 ANS" (THE WEEKLY FOR SUPER-YOUTH AGED 7 TO 77) in blue. The spine of the magazine shows a slight curve, indicating normal handling for this type of old publication. The issue number is visible on the spine: "N° 28 France 5,50 | Suisse 2,50 FS".

The central character, dressed in a brown, studded loincloth and a torn tunic, stands out clearly against the background, accentuating the dramatic effect of the scene. The entire cover reinforces the vintage aspect of the item, both through its color palette and its lettering and drawing style.

The photographic presentation, posed in front of an old bookshelf, highlights the retro character of the magazine. No other elements or details are visible on the cover other than the inscriptions and illustration described above. The spine shows slight wear, typical of an old magazine, with no apparent tears on the visible side.

Condition

This magazine is second-hand and sold as is. The cover shows slight curvature and signs of use consistent with its age, visible on the spine and corners. No major defects appear on the visible side, apart from the marks of time.

Did you know? The character of Jugurtha, created by Jean-Luc Vernal and Hermann in 1967, is one of the prominent figures of Tintin magazine. This series, inspired by the ancient history of the Numidian king, was published for several years in the pages of the weekly, contributing to the journal's renown among fans of Franco-Belgian comic strips.
