Description

This illustrated magazine is a copy of the famous weekly "Nouveau Tintin", issue 121, highlighted by its colourful and graphic cover dedicated to the investigator Ric Hochet. The cover image displays a brightly coloured drawing: the main character, Ric Hochet, with his characteristic blond hair, dominates the scene with an expression of marked anxiety. The title of the story "L'épée sur la gorge!" (The sword at your throat!) is printed in vivid red, accentuating the dramatic aspect of the scene. The central part of the cover features a black and white comic strip panel, where Ric Hochet is seen crouching in front of a stele bearing the inscription "CI-GIT R. HOCHET 1977" (HERE LIES R. HOCHET 1977). A dialogue bubble, typical of the Franco-Belgian style, appears in the bottom right.

The "nouveau tintin" logo occupies the upper part, with the mention "Hebdomadaire des jeunes de 7 à 77 ans" (Weekly for young people aged 7 to 77) in blue. The main colours visible are black, white, red, and yellow for the character and title elements. The spine clearly displays the number "n° 121" as well as the vintage price (France: 3.50, Switzerland: 2.50).

The cover shows signs of moderate wear, typical of a vintage magazine: slightly bent corners, visible traces of handling, but the illustrations and texts remain clear and legible. No major snags or tears are visible on the presented face.

This issue is typical of the graphic style of the 1970s, both in the choice of fonts and in the colour treatment and layout. The presented object is a paper magazine, in the standard format of illustrated youth press of that era, with a flexible feel and stapled binding (not visible here but characteristic of the medium).

The presence of Ric Hochet on the cover, an emblematic figure of Franco-Belgian comics, gives this issue a sought-after dimension among lovers of vintage comics and old youth magazines.
