Description

The illustrated magazine presented here is an issue of "Nouveau Tintin" (New Tintin), the weekly comic book aimed at young people aged 7 to 77, renowned for its central place in the history of Franco-Belgian comics. The cover, in vibrant colors, highlights the title "tintin" in red and black, accompanied by the word "nouveau" (new) in the top right. Below, the series title "SECTION R" is visible in blue, along with the episode title "LES MNÉMOCHOSES" (The Mnemochoses) in bright blue in the bottom left corner.

The cover scene, typical of the 1970s graphic style, depicts a male character wearing a blue top with an "R" on it, in action, and a red-haired female character appearing to swim in a dynamic atmosphere, surrounded by bubbles and black and white graphic effects. Another inset features two characters, including a young blonde woman, illustrating the serialized ambiance characteristic of the magazine.

On the left edge, the inscription "n° 1231, France 3.50 F, Suisse 2.50 F" indicates the edition and the price at the time. The mention "L’HEBDOMADAIRE DES JEUNES DE 7 À 77 ANS" (The Weekly for Young People Aged 7 to 77) is clearly visible below the logo, an emblematic signature of the magazine. The cover displays an excellent example of the "vintage" period of the 70s, with a colorful design, distinct typographies, and a dynamic layout characteristic of the era.

The overall condition observed on the front cover shows good preservation: the colors remain clear, the paper does not show excessive yellowing or visible stains, and the corners are slightly marked without apparent tears. The binding appears stable on the visible part, without major snags. No graffiti or handwritten annotations are visible on the cover.

This issue is aimed at fans of comic books and old magazines, and is a representative piece of illustrated youth press from the 1970s, particularly sought after for its original series and graphic covers.

Condition

Used magazine, sold as is, with some minor signs of wear on the cover (slightly creased corners, minimal visible handling marks). The colors remain vibrant and the overall condition is clean for a copy of this era.

Did you know? Tintin magazine, launched in Belgium in 1946, underwent several graphic and editorial evolutions. The name "Nouveau Tintin" (New Tintin) appeared in 1973, modernizing the layout and incorporating new series to attract a wider audience. Many major Franco-Belgian comic artists published their works there before becoming references in the 9th art.
