Description

This magazine shown in the photo is an original copy of the famous weekly "Tintin", an emblematic publication of Franco-Belgian comics. The cover, easily recognizable by its yellow logo on a red background, features an adventure of "Chick Bill", a leading character in the comic book universe, illustrated in a dynamic scene with a leaping dog. The scene is signed by the artist Tibet and dated 1984, which precisely places this copy in the 80s.

The main title on the cover "WOUAF ! LA TÊTE DE PIPE... une grande aventure de CHICK BILL" is clearly legible in a blue speech bubble, enhancing the visual appeal and interest for retro comic book enthusiasts. The illustration is characteristic of the clear line style typical of this period of the magazine, with bold colors (yellow, red, blue, black) and clean outlines.

At the top, the mention "L’HEBDOMADAIRE DES SUPER-JEUNES DE 7 À 77 ANS" (THE WEEKLY FOR SUPER-YOUNG PEOPLE FROM 7 TO 77) appears below the title, typical of Tintin editions of that era. Also, in the upper right, there is a medallion with the handwritten text "EXEMPLAIRE EN TIRAGE LIMITE POUR L’AMIE..." (the rest is cut off), which adds a touch of authenticity to this issue.

The magazine is presented upright, slightly tilted, resting on a wooden surface, with an old bookshelf in the background, recalling the heritage context of great comic book series. The spine of the magazine is visible on the left, showing slight wear consistent with a period copy.

At the bottom left is the signature "TIBET 84", proof of the authenticity of the cover. Price mentions for different countries are also printed on the top edge, testifying to the international distribution of this mythical title.

Condition

This magazine is a used item and sold as is. The copy shows slight signs of wear on the spine and corners, typical of an issue that has been around for several decades, but maintains a good overall condition and a clearly legible cover.

Did you know? The "Tintin" magazine was launched in 1946 and helped launch the careers of many major Franco-Belgian comic book authors, including Hergé, Edgar P. Jacobs, Tibet, and many others. Chick Bill, a character created by Tibet in 1953, is one of the magazine's most popular series, known for its humor and quirky Western universe.
