Description

The illustrated magazine presented here is a vintage copy of the famous weekly "Tintin", aimed at young people aged 7 to 77. This is issue 21, 49th year, as indicated at the top right of the cover. The edition is characterized by its typical 1970s graphics, with a Tintin logo in massive black letters on a yellow background and the highlighting of a "Poster Papilio" supplement.

The cover features the character Nahomi, with "Les pirates" as the main title, on a background of sepia-toned comic strip panels. Nahomi, depicted in close-up, has blue hair and a pensive expression, in a graphic style characteristic of Franco-Belgian comics of this period. The cover illustration is signed "Sirius", a recognized author of the magazine.

Visible inscriptions specify prices for different countries (Belgium, Canada, Spain, Luxembourg, Switzerland) and the slogan "The weekly for super-young people aged 7 to 77". A small box at the top right also announces "The interstellar and exambulatory adventures of the space agent...", typical of the editorial humor of the time.

The general presentation is faithful to the original Tintin magazines: visible stapled spine, rounded corners, vivid color printing on matte paper. The overall condition shows some signs of use, particularly on the left edge (slight wear on the binding and the upper corner), which is common for a copy of that era.

Issue 21 of this year, with the mention "Nahomi Les pirates" and the "Poster Papilio" supplement, is particularly sought after by fans of the magazine for the richness of its stories and the quality of its original illustrations.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. Shows signs of wear due to age: rubbing on the binding, slightly marked corners, small marks on the cover. The overall item remains in good visual condition for a piece from this period.

Did you know? Tintin magazine, launched in Belgium in 1946, was one of the main vectors of European comics, introducing and popularizing many cult authors and series such as Blake and Mortimer, Alix, or Ric Hochet. The issues from the 1970s are particularly appreciated for their graphic diversity and the richness of their supplements (posters, games, gadgets).
