Description

This magazine, visible in the photo, is a vintage copy of the weekly "Tintin" magazine, issue number 46, dated 1976, as indicated at the top right of the cover. It is an illustrated magazine for young people, identifiable by its large pink "Tintin" logo and the tagline "The weekly for super-young people aged 7 to 77". The cover features a colorful illustration highlighting the characters Chloro, Grobur & Sysyphus, in the center of a humorous scene in nature. Two other rodent-like characters are visible in the foreground, running towards the main scene. The whole is depicted in a typical Franco-Belgian comic strip style of the 1970s.

At the top right, the mascot Cubitus addresses readers with a speech bubble "Cubitus Grand Contest", reinforcing the retro and playful aspect of the publication. At the bottom right, an insert announces a story of "The White Knight, The Ghost of Montfaucon", with a drawn portrait in a medallion. The dominant colors are the bright pink of the logo, the light blue of the sky, the yellow and ocher of the ground and vegetation, as well as the vibrant hues of the characters.

The back of the magazine is not visible in the photo, but the spine appears to be in good structural condition, with no major tears apparent on this side. At the top, price information for several countries (Belgium, Canada, Spain, Luxembourg, Switzerland) can be seen, typical of international editions of Tintin magazine from this period.

The cover shows slight creases and signs of wear, especially at the top right, which is common for a period issue. The inscriptions and illustrations are clearly legible, and the overall appearance has a beautiful vintage patina consistent with an original magazine from the 1970s.

A small label at the bottom left bears the inscription "M237 – 530 – 8FF", probably a classification or period price reference. No elements of the binding or interior are visible in this image.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. The cover shows visible signs of use (small creases, rubbed corners, discreet wear), with no major tears apparent on the side shown.

Did you know? Tintin magazine was launched in 1946 in Belgium and was for a long time one of the main vehicles for Franco-Belgian comics. It hosted great authors such as Hergé, Edgar P. Jacobs, Greg, Tibet, and Dupa, whose character Cubitus is visible on this 1976 cover.
