Description

This antique manometer, visible in the photo, is an analog measuring instrument designed to indicate pressure in meters of water. It features a round dial with a graduated scale from 0 to 10, marked "MÈTRES D’EAU" (METERS OF WATER) at the top of the dial. The main, dark-colored needle is secured at the center by a small golden screw, while a second, red-colored needle is also present. The light-colored dial shows signs of use and patina, typical of a period instrument.

The manometer's casing is circular, with a visually metallic finish. The external crown, slightly tarnished, shows signs of oxidation or aging. A threaded connection, located on the lower part, is surrounded by a white textile ligature, likely intended to ensure watertightness during installation. This mechanical part was designed to be screwed onto a hydraulic or industrial measurement system.

The inscriptions on the dial are legible and confirm the device's specific use for measuring water pressure, expressed in meters. The protective glass of the dial appears domed and reveals some traces of dust or internal dirt.
