Description

This old round-dial manometer, visible in the photo, has the typical appearance of industrial measuring instruments from the mid-20th century. The dial, graduated from 0 to 10 bar, is protected by a transparent glass, set in an old brass-look bezel, with a visible patina and some traces of oxidation on the outer ring. The central black needle is clearly visible, as is the inscription "bar" in plain letters at the center of the dial, with no other apparent mark or logo on the presented face.

The casing has a golden metallic appearance, reminiscent of the brass finish frequently used on industrial manometers of yesteryear. The white dial, encircled by a dark border, shows precise graduation with black numerals and fine intermediate markers. The whole is completed by a threaded connection at the bottom of the casing, also with a golden metallic appearance, allowing for installation on a pressurized circuit.

The glass surface shows some traces and light scratches from use, indicating prior use in a professional or technical context. The metal bezel shows marks of oxidation and aging, characteristic of a vintage instrument exposed to air or humidity. No structural defects or breakage are visible in the photo, and the dial remains perfectly legible.

This type of manometer was commonly used in industry, plumbing, or mechanics to control the pressure of fluids or gases. The sober and functional design, the absence of a visible brand, and the graduation in bar confirm a technical-use oriented manufacturing, probably between the 1950s and 1970s, although the absence of precise inscription prevents an absolute dating.

The object is distinguished by its retro aesthetic, its compact shape, and the authentic patina of its bezel. It will be perfect for industrial decoration, creative repurposing, or the restoration of vintage devices requiring an old-looking period manometer.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. Presence of oxidation marks, use scratches, and patina on the casing. The dial remains legible and the needle is in place. See photo for exact condition.

Did you know? The term "bar" is a unit of pressure measurement introduced in 1909, primarily used in Europe for industrial and automotive applications. Analog dial manometers like this one were commonly mounted on compressors, boilers, or hydraulic systems until the widespread arrival of electronic sensors from the 1980s onwards.
