Description

Original Bandai plastic model kit featuring the 100 Shiki robot from the Mobile Suit Gundam series, shown here in its original box. The front of the box displays a colorful and dynamic illustration of the model in an attack pose, set against a backdrop of stylized clouds and light beams. The overall design features vibrant colors, dominated by golden yellow, black, and touches of red, faithful to the iconic 100 Shiki design. The Bandai logo is clearly visible in the bottom left, accompanied by the inscription "MADE IN JAPAN" and the date "1985."

The main title "100 SHIKI" is printed in large red characters on a yellow background, followed by Japanese inscriptions and the mention "SNAP FIT MODEL" (スナップフィットモデル). The box also indicates "1:220 COLLECTION SCALE 2 GUNDAM SERIES No.39," specifying the series and range of the model. The box in the upper right shows a round logo typical of vintage Bandai products, with printing faithful to the aesthetic of the 80s.

The box is displayed vertically, clearly showing the edges, lid, and main face. No interior contents are visible in the photograph, but the exterior shows good general preservation, with no major discoloration or apparent tears. However, there is a slight crease visible in the bottom right of the box, typical of a vintage item that has been handled.

The front illustration is signed "ILLUSTRATION BY MASAMI WATANABE" in the bottom right, a detail sought after by fans of vintage Japanese model kits. The overall graphics, drawing style, and layout perfectly convey the aesthetic of Bandai model kits from the 1980s.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. The box shows slight signs of wear consistent with its age, including a crease in the bottom right. No other major defects are visible on the presented side.

Did you know? The 100 Shiki is an iconic Mobile Suit from the Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam saga, introduced in 1985 and piloted by Quattro Bajeena (Char Aznable). Its name literally means "Model 100" in Japanese, and it is known for its distinctive golden color, rare in the Gundam universe. Bandai kits from this period are particularly appreciated for their fidelity to the original design and their Japanese manufacturing quality.
