Description

This antique medal, presented here on a bright yellow cushion, is a rectangular commemorative plaque with straight edges and a metallic gray hue. The object features a raised architectural scene depicting the city of Carpentras, with a central representation of a building topped with a cypress tree, a crowned coat of arms at the bottom, and several inscriptions in capital letters.

On the visible side, one can clearly read: "SOUVENIRS DE CARPENTRAS" at the top and "16 JUILLET 1930" at the bottom, the latter mention being framed by a raised cartouche. The central scene is framed by a slightly raised decoration, giving the whole a solemn and memorial appearance specific to commemorative medals from the first half of the 20th century.
