Description

Here is an antique medal, visible in the photo, featuring a detailed engraving of a columned monument on its obverse, likely an arch or a monumental gate. The embossed inscription on the upper edge is legible and reads: "A LES CONQVESTES DE FLANDRE" (To the Conquests of Flanders). The lower part displays a date in Roman numerals (MDCCLXXXI), as well as other partially legible inscriptions, typical of historical commemorative medals. The entire medal has a silver finish or a patinated metallic appearance, with shades of gray and slight traces of oxidation or natural wear consistent with its age.
